Challenges of professional ethics for teachers in education classes

The present study, employing a theoretical–analytical approach, explores the professional ethical challenges faced by instructors of Islamic Ma‘aref (Religious Studies) courses within Iran’s higher education system. Owing to their inherent connection with faith, spirituality, and moral education, Ma‘aref courses hold a distinctive position among university subjects, and the ethical conduct of their instructors directly influences students’ beliefs and moral dispositions. Despite numerous studies on pedagogical issues, a coherent examination of professors’ ethical behavior and their moral‐educational mechanisms has been rarely undertaken. The aim of this research is to elucidate the individual, cultural, educational, and managerial dimensions of ethical challenges and to propose a theoretical framework for strengthening professional ethics. Through qualitative analysis of field studies and reliable scholarly sources, the study identifies key problems such as the persistence of traditional teaching methods, the imposition of dogmatic viewpoints, injustice in assessment, disregard for students’ inquiry, and the absence of ethical supervision. These factors have been interpreted through an analytical model. Findings indicate that weak moral communication between professors and students constitutes the primary barrier to achieving the formative goals of Ma‘aref education. Finally, the study emphasizes that the sustainability of professional ethics requires institutionalizing moral education, redesigning the evaluation system, and reviving rational dialogue founded on faith and human dignity.

Self-esteem model in dealing with ethical conflicts in the workplace: An analysis of applied ethics based on Quranic teachings and psychological theories

In contemporary workplaces, employees and managers are increasingly faced with ethical conflicts; conflicts that lead individuals to gradually deviate from ethical principles in the form of organizational expediency, conformity to unwritten norms, fear of rejection, concern for career future, or team interests. Many common approaches have focused on external mechanisms such as law, supervision, or control of behavioral consequences; however, evidence shows that sustainable ethical resistance in the "gray space of organizational decision-making" requires an internal and identity foundation more than anything else. This research, with an applied ethics approach and utilizing the teachings of the Quran and Hadith sources, analyzes "self-esteem" as an internal moral capacity for actively confronting ethical conflicts in the workplace. Based on a comparative analysis of the components of self-esteem in religious texts and related psychological concepts, the self-esteem-based model is proposed as a normative-operational framework that defines self-esteem not as a sense of self-sufficiency or superiority, but as a perception of self-worth based on human dignity and conscious reliance on divine power. Components such as moral self-awareness, purposefulness, self-responsibility, moral courage, playing a social role, and adherence to divine standards constitute the main elements of this framework. The results of the analysis show that this model can provide the basis for conscious moral resistance, responsible decision-making, and generous action in the face of ethical conflicts in the workplace and has the potential for direct application in organizational ethics and professional moral education.

The Ethical Imperatives of Applied Islamic Governance in Family Relations

Islamic governance, unlike many systems based solely on legalism, emphasizes the integration of ethical principles with administrative and governmental mechanisms—particularly in the domain of the family, which is regarded as a value‑oriented and morally grounded institution. Ethical propositions are statements that define the existential dimensions of human beings in relation to the notions of “good,” “evil,” “ought,” “ought not,” “right,” “wrong,” and “duty or responsibility.” These propositions operate as the very spirit running through the structure of Islamic governance. This study, using a documentary (literature‑based) method, investigates the question: “Which ethical propositions does Islamic governance emphasize in family interactions?”Findings indicate that Islamic governance pays attention to practical ethics at three main levels:Foundational propositions, which concern the moral training of both officials and citizens;Family‑system propositions, which focus on intra‑family relations such as marital and parental interactions; andGovernance‑family interaction propositions, encompassing ethical strategies for policymaking and family support.Together, these three levels constitute the ethical charter of Islamic governance in the sphere of family life. They are richly evidenced in religious sources, and their integration into a unified framework is deemed essential for realizing a stable and sustainable family within the Islamic society.

An Analysis of Cognitive Methods in Educating Professional Ethics of Trainees with Emphasis on the Conduct of Divine Prophets

This study aims to identify practical executive methods for educators to sustainably internalize professional ethics based on the conduct of divine prophets.Methodology: Using a qualitative approach and inferential content analysis method, data were systematically extracted from the Qur'an and authoritative exegetical & narrative sources through a six‑step analytical process.Prophets employed strategies such as inviting contemplation, wise explanation, analogy & simplification, role‑modeling, encouragement, competing in good deeds, and rational gradualism to internalize values sustainably. These methods complementarily enhance moral understanding, intrinsic motivation, self‑monitoring, and informed decision‑making. The novelty lies in focusing on the educator's practical methods rather than describing the learner's traits. This cognition‑based, insight‑oriented prophetic approach is applicable to contemporary educational systems.

Analysis of Imam Khomeini's (RA) family ethics model in the context of the Islamic Revolution

The present study employs an analytical-descriptive method and utilizes library-documentary tools, aiming at elucidating Imam Khomeini’s (may God have mercy upon him) model of family ethics and explaining its interaction with the context of the Islamic Revolution. The central question of the research examines how the Imam’s model of family ethics persisted amid intense political turbulence. According to the findings, Imam Khomeini’s family ethics constituted a multidimensional system composed of various domains that continued to function under harsh political and social circumstances. This model presents an image of the integration of servitude to God, affection, and social responsibility - an integration that can serve as a systematic framework for theorizing about the exemplary family suited to the Islamic Revolution. Imam Khomeini’s family model interacted profoundly with the Islamic Revolution: the family acted as his refuge and source of resilience during the struggle, and in turn, the Imam transformed the family into a base for the upbringing of a revolutionary generation, the implementation of social responsibilities, and the conversion of personal assets into social capital. This model defines the exemplary family of the Islamic Revolution as an active, conscious, and resilient institution in service of lofty ideals

the ethic alanalysis of male remarriage in the context of femal infertility

AbstractProtecting the health of the individual, the principle of human dignity, and the principle of fairness are ethical principles whose implementation for a wife who does not have the power to reproduce conflicts with the right to polygamy, which is the legal and religious right of the couple, and these conflicts between the couple affect the health of all family members; therefore, the present study addresses the following issue: What is the ethical solution to the conflict between the moral rights of the woman and the right of the husband to polygamy? In this article, using an analytical-descriptive method and with the aim of realizing a moral life in line with strengthening the foundation of the family, the arguments for and against the right of a man to polygamy have been examined. The results show that extra-religious and intra-religious arguments are ineffective in issuing a general ruling, and the proposed solution is to analyze the situation and detail the ruling. Analyzing the situation of the moral agent is to assess his situation by considering all existing conditions; Therefore, to analyze the circumstances in which the moral agent (couple) faces such a dilemma, five components can be examined: 1) the moral agent's awareness of infertility treatment with assisted reproductive methods, 2) the moral agent's (man's) ability to justify the first wife in an epistemological sense, 3) the time of choosing the second wife, 4) the man's occupational characteristics, and 5) the prevailing culture in some regions.
