Therapeutic Effect of Spirituality on Social Adjustment among University Students

Abstract

Purpose: Recognizing the importance of spiritual effects in the treatment of psychological problems, the study is aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of spirituality therapy on the female students in establishing social adjustment.
Method: Conducting an experiment using a pretest,post-test questionnaire, on the control group and the study statistical population included all students of Sama Technical University of Kermanshah. A Sample of 120 students was selected by simple random sampling, and after completing the Bell survey of social adjustment 50 students who had the lowest level of social adjustment, were randomly divided into experimental and control groups. For the experimental group 9 spiritual therapy sessions were held and the post-test was given to both groups. The data analysis was done by statistical method of Covariance
Findings: The results showed that the dependent variable in the experimental group compared with the control group had significant improvement.
Conclusion: It can be concluded from the results, that the spiritual education of female students has been effective in increasing social adjustment.
