A study of moderation, its effects and obstacles from the perspective of Martyr Motahhari

Abstract

Moderation is one of the most important moral issues in the holy religion of Islam, which has been considered by many philosophers and thinkers, including Martyr Motahhari. Not only does Islam have special recommendations for moderation in the field of practice, but it also considers the happiness of society and the formation of a utopia to be dependent on moderation and avoidance of extremism. The purpose of this article is to explain the theory of moderation from the perspective of Martyr Motahhari and to try to examine and investigate the factors and obstacles of moderation with a descriptive and analytical method. And answer the question, what are the most important effects and obstacles of moderation from the perspective of Martyr Motahhari? The research findings show that from the perspective of Martyr Motahhari, the effects of moderation are: perfection, happiness, coordination in the growth of values ​​and scientific and material progress, and the obstacles to moderation include stagnation, ignorance, whims and desires and the destruction of society. The result is that moderation will bring happiness to the individual and to the wider community.
