Abstract

This article was compiled with the aim of explaining abortion from the perspective of Islamic ethics and a critical analysis of its ethical approaches and dimensions, and with a descriptive, analytical, critical and documentary method, it seeks to answer these questions: what is the position of abortion from the perspective of Islamic ethics? What are the ethical approaches to abortion? In what case is abortion allowed from a moral point of view? The findings of the research indicate that in abortion, there are three approaches of absolute permissibility and absolute nonpermissibility and promise in detail. Since in Islam, the creator and real owner is God, and no one but the Almighty God is the owner of human life or others; From the point of view of Islamic ethics, abortion is not permissible and there is no difference between the dissolution of the soul and its absence in the fetus. Because the fetus is a potential human from the moment of coagulation. In most non-religious moral systems, abortion is not considered permissible and unethical; Because this is compatible with the principles of utilitarianism, pleasure-seeking, comfort-seeking and responsibility-avoidance, etc. of man. But in the moral system of Islam, in addition to the fact that the fetus is a human being, the effect of abortion on the character of the moral agent and its role in achieving perfection or his moral fall, as well as its effect on the spiritual aspect and spiritual values and his true perfection, are emphasized.
