In contemporary workplaces, employees and managers are increasingly faced with ethical conflicts; conflicts that lead individuals to gradually deviate from ethical principles in the form of organizational expediency, conformity to unwritten norms, fear of rejection, concern for career future, or team interests. Many common approaches have focused on external mechanisms such as law, supervision, or control of behavioral consequences; however, evidence shows that sustainable ethical resistance in the "gray space of organizational decision-making" requires an internal and identity foundation more than anything else. This research, with an applied ethics approach and utilizing the teachings of the Quran and Hadith sources, analyzes "self-esteem" as an internal moral capacity for actively confronting ethical conflicts in the workplace. Based on a comparative analysis of the components of self-esteem in religious texts and related psychological concepts, the self-esteem-based model is proposed as a normative-operational framework that defines self-esteem not as a sense of self-sufficiency or superiority, but as a perception of self-worth based on human dignity and conscious reliance on divine power. Components such as moral self-awareness, purposefulness, self-responsibility, moral courage, playing a social role, and adherence to divine standards constitute the main elements of this framework. The results of the analysis show that this model can provide the basis for conscious moral resistance, responsible decision-making, and generous action in the face of ethical conflicts in the workplace and has the potential for direct application in organizational ethics and professional moral education.
